10” 1810 Mission Style bell

Bell of warm-toned bronze with mottled verdigris patina. Floral and geometric motifs overall, with raised text of “1810” and “MEJICO” alternating around sides. Stud accents around shoulders. Crown style hanger with 33” of antique hand forged twisted bar chain (I can remove if not wanted). Original clapper.

• 10 1/2” tall
• 12 1/4“ diameter
• 24 lbs.

Bells from this Mexican foundry are typically the same height as diameter. Due to this one being given a short crown hanger, it measures a smaller overall height, but the body of the bell itself is the same as that of a 12” tall bell, so it still has quite a presence and the very grand ringtone of a 12” bell; hear audio below.

Bell of dark-toned bronze with mottled verdigris patina covering most of bell surface. Floral motifs overall, with subtle image of the robed Virgin Mary on opposite sides. Crown style hanger. Original clapper; I can place an aged leather pull on the clapper for ringing.
