8-FOOT RAINCROSS BELL STAND COMMISSION
I received a commision from a real estate developer in Hawaii (a third-time client) wanting a piece to create a dramatic statement for a huge development. Of course it had to be engineered for compact shipment and easy assembly on site at destination. A very fun challenge. Here are photos documenting the process.

1. Construction
Constructed of redwood, stand design was engineered to be broken down for compact shipment, then easy assembly at destination. Wrought iron straps were welded onto beams for strength and cosmetics.

2. Sculpting
Timbers were sculpted to finesse design and create an aged silhouette.

Raised wood grain effect was created, pigmentation of the wood, then soft sheen polyurethane finish applied.

4. Completed Stand
Stand was dry fit assembled and hung with a 21" bell for photographing for client review.

5. Crating
I built a heavy duty custom crate to nestle all parts, hardware and tools for transport to destination where I assembled it on site.
