ANTIQUE MISSION SAN GABRIEL BELL SOUVENIR

Cast of brass, exceptionally rare early 1900s’ souvenir depicting a mission bell hanging in a rustic wood stand. Marked: San Gabriel, 1771 (the mission’s founding date). Bell swings in its mounting and produces a delightful ring. Designed by Mrs. A.S.C. Forbes and cast of thick bronze by her Forbes Foundry of Los Angeles between 1914 and 1937.

3 inch height, 2 1/4 inch width, 1 inch depth. Excellent condition.
