Antique Mission Inn Raincross Souvenir Bell
Antique souvenir bell of the Mission Inn. Raincross symbol on front; Franciscan crossed arms symbol on back. Raised text reads: Junipero Serra 1713-1784 (founder of the California missions), Mission Inn, Riverside, California. Designed by Mrs. A.S.C. Forbes and cast of bronze by her Forbes Foundry of Los Angeles between 1914 and 1937. Incredibly lovely, clear, high pitched, resounding ring.
2 3/4 inches tall, 2 3/8 inch diameter. Good condition.

BELL 1: Exceptionally rare example with original gold foil label. Strong verdigris patina.
BELL 2: Dark golden coloring with black mottled patina throughout. Please note slightly angled hanger top.
